Some people are commonly asking when can you start scuba diving and what is the minimum age and the answer might surprise some. You can start as early as 10 years old to get fully qualified as a Padi Junior Open Water diver.
The course is literally identical to the regular Padi open water course, however the maximum depth will be limited to 12 m maximum, until the kids turn 12 and they can go to 18m as well.
But you can start even younger. Padi and of course All 4 Diving Indonesia offer the bubble maker program where kids from the age of 8 years can give it a try. We have special small size scuba tanks available for the keen and young divers.
This will be in a very save pool environment and kids usually enjoy this activity a lot, as it is something totally new. How cool is it to be able to breath underwater? Swimming around underwater, blowing bubbles :-0
And if over the age of 10 they can even go in open water and go for a Padi Discover Scuba Dive and explore some of the stunning dive sites Bali has to offer. Most love it and are happy to continue and actually get certified. The course can be done in as little as 3 days with one of our certified Padi instructors.
Ask our and any Padi instructors around the world and most will agree that kids are actually very easy to teach and pretty much everyone can do it.
In our new dive center with attached pool we do offer this activity every day and if you are interested please get in touch with us.
If you are in Bali, why not give scuba diving a try?
We are looking forward to meet you.
