Important Update for Travellers Visiting Bali

Exciting news! Beginning February 14, 2024, the Bali Provincial Government will implement a new tourism levy for visitors to Bali. Here are the key details:

Payment Methods:
Cashless payments only. Including credit cards, bank transfers, or virtual accounts via the “Love Bali App” or website.

How to pay:
1. Airport and Port Counters: Payment facilities are available at Bali’s airports and seaports. Receive a QR code as proof of payment for immigration.
2. Endpoint Collection: Hotels, tourist attractions, and travel agents can also collect the levy for tourists already in Bali.
3. Exemption for Early Arrivals: Visitors arriving before February 14, 2024, are exempt, even if they leave after this date.
4. Recommended Pre-Arrival Payment: Paying before arrival through the Love Bali app or website is advised for smoother entry.
5. Levy Compliance for Domestic Arrivals: Those arriving via domestic flights are also subject to the levy, ensuring compliance through random checks.
6. One-Time Fee: Pay once per visit to Bali; subsequent travels within Indonesia do not incur an additional fee.
7. Levi’s Exemptions: Several categories of visitors are exempt, including diplomatic and official visa holders.
8. Purpose of the Levy: Supports Bali’s commitment to sustainable tourism and cultural preservation.
