Nusa Penida and Lembongan island offer some of Bali’s finest diving. The islands lie southeast of Bali, a short boat ride across the Badung Strait. The main attraction in Nusa Penida are common encounters with majestic manta rays and in season the curious and very rare oceanic Mola sunfish, coming close to the reef visiting their cleaning stations (from June to late October).
The dive sites around Nusa Penida offer a great variety of hard and soft corals, fish life, reef sharks and turtles. Stunning hard coral gardens, coral bommies where a wide variety of reef fish like angelfish, anthias, schooling bannerfish, fusiliers colour up your day. And most famously, encounters with manta rays are possible throughout the year and possibly Mola Sunfish mostly between June-October.
