At Tulamben, you can relax on the beach in between snorkelling sessions. At Padang Bai and Amed you can either come on the local jukung boat or stay at the beach. There are bathroom facilities available so you can have a shower before heading back to Sanur / your hotel. And if you fancy a day out on a speedboat for a chance to meet the majestic manta rays, then Nusa Penida is your way to go.
Snorkelling in Bali is a year-round activity, and generally on the surface, the water temperature varies between 26-29°C. Wetsuits will be provided if you prefer to wear them, it is highly recommended to wear at least a T-shirt or a rash guard to prevent sunburn.

Nusa Penida
Nusa Penida is just a short hop by boat from Bali coast and offer snorkellers a unique experience. Manta Point is a must visit for frequent manta ray encounters sometimes in large numbers!
Tulamben
Tulamben is one of Bali’s most famous diving areas. It hosts many sites such as the US Liberty Wreck, Coral Garden and the Drop Off. All sites can be reached directly from the beach.
Padang Bai
Padang Bai’s Blue Lagoon is a snorkellers paradise, with white sand and colourful coral reef in shallow waters. For the fish spotter, you can find a huge diversity of marine life.
Amed
Amed’s black volcanic sandy beaches offer great snorkelling. At shallow depths of 3 to 8 meters live wonderful coral gardens, full with staghorn corals and many schooling fish.
Nusa Lembongan
On the north coast of Nusa Lembongan, we have many easy snorkelling spots. Mangrove Point is a favourite. Mild currents run along shallow reef displaying a myriad of colours and healthy fish life.
Menjangan
Menjangan is part of the Bali Barat National Park. The waters are clear and calm with a rich variety of fish. Surrounding the island are shallow reefs with beautiful corals that snorkellers will love.
